Pastor Jerry Scott was born in Greenville, South Carolina. He has been married to his one and only wife, Martha Stroud Scott, for over 50 years. They have two children, Tonya Cooper of Dallas, Texas and Stanley Scott of King, North Carolina. They have 5 grandchildren, Haley Scott, Austin, Jared, Travis and Noah Cooper.
Pastor Scott graduated from Parker High School of Greenville, South Carolina, North Greenville University, New Orleans Seminary and Luther Rice Seminary of Jacksonville, Florida.
Pastor Scott accepted Jesus Christ into his life in August of 1956. He was licensed to the Ministry in September of 1956 by Utica Baptist Church in Seneca, South Carolina. He was ordained into Ministry by the same church on July 7, 1957. Although Pastor Scott had been baptized as a small child, he was baptized again in 1975, after many years of preaching, realizing he had not had believer's baptism. He has pastored several churches in the past 50 years.
